JEDD GARET Four Days In A Well
October 21 - December 15, 2015
Jedd Garet (b. Los Angeles 1955) is something of a legend based on his fantastical ever surreal landscapes combined with his androgynous figures from the 80s (The Golden Age of Bad), which anticipated the current Hollywood explosion of interest in superheroes. Flatness of landscape combined with forms which appear identifiable define these new paintings.
Wirtz Art announces “Four Days in a Well” Garet’s exciting new series. Electric as always, Garet brings his intense energy and wonderful sense of style to the computer/canvas creating inexplicable biomorphic forms which appear to be coming from some other world, suspended in time, prepared to morph once again.
Jedd Garet is included in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Contemporary Museum, Honolulu; The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; The Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix, Arizona; The Tate Gallery, London; the Brooklyn Museum: New York and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York among numerous other museums and private collections.
